Findorff is a construction company built on character and integrity with a culture that supports giving generously to the community. This culture extends to every facet of their operation, including their home office in Madison. When Findorff undertook a major addition to their home office in downtown Madison, they used it as a showcase for energy efficiency and green construction.
They selected variable refrigerant flow for their heating and cooling systems after concluding VRF is the most energy efficient system available. The VRF system at Findorrff is a water-source system utilizing a boiler and close-loop chiller to maintain loop temperature. The loop is maintained at about 70 degrees year-round to hit the “sweet spot” for the VRF and reduce the demand on the boiler and chiller.
