WAEE established a scholarship program to support and sustain young Wisconsin talent needed to develop an energy efficient state and society. Since 2010, WAEE has awarded a total of 106 scholarships totaling $115,000. In 2023, individual awards will range from $750 to $2,500 with a total of $15,000 budgeted for general awards in addition to the Founders Scholarships.
The primary goal of the scholarship is to financially support students pursuing engineering, business and technical careers with emphasis on energy efficiency, energy management, energy conservation, renewable energy, energy generation, applied equipment design, energy system operation or other energy related field. Other goals include,
- Providing students opportunities to meet other professionals working in energy careers and to see the wide variety of careers available to them
- Providing WAEE members opportunities to meet students who may be seeking internship or employment in the future
DEADLINE: All scholarship applications are due by Sunday, September 24, 2023, at 10 pm CT. Applications submitted by September 10, 2023, will be given preferred status during review.Join us at the Wisconsin Energy Efficiency Expo on October 18, 2023
