Another "Implementation Celebration"!
The City of Appleton continues to exemplify what it means to be a “seriously sustainable” municipality. Sustainability means more than just talk of best practices In Appleton it means taking the lead, adopting the best technology, developing and implementing best practices. In Appleton, they do that, in fact have been doing it for some time. Part of best practices always includes a plan… Appleton has one of those too, in fact, had it for sometime. In fact they have saved close to $5 million dollars since 2005… following the plan.
Appleton is wrapping up the installation of a new Bio-Gas Boiler and gas compression system. Upon completion all WWTP heating requirements will be fulfilled using 100% Bio-Gas. Quite an accomplishment and one to be acknowledged and celebrated. Join Appleton Mayor Tim Hanna, the WWTP team, Focus on Energy and your friends at the WAEE in an “Implementation Celebration”!
