J.F. Ahern specializes in pipe fabrication, mechanical, and fire protection contracting for new construction/retrofit projects, servicing existing facilities, and providing prefabricated piping.
Attendees will learn about how J.F. Ahern was able to blend industrial and office functions into an efficient and employee centric design. The space includes warehousing, fabrication areas, a spacious work cafe, training zones, and conference rooms. Key building features include daylighting to all workstations, geothermal heating and cooling, and exposed mechanical systems.

Attendees will learn about Masters Gallery's comprehensive sustainability program that achieved Green Masters status with the Sustainable Business Council in 2024. Attendees will also learn about how the Oostburg Facility has eliminated the use of ammonia and other regulated coolants with a chilling tower and utilize a geothermal pond as a renewable energy source to heat and cool roughly 15% of the building.

Appleton Wastewater Treatment Facility
The Appleton Wastewater Treatment Plant (AWWTP) is an advanced, secondary, biological activated sludge wastewater treatment facility that serves homes, factories, mills, and plants in the City of Appleton. The facility treatment processes consist of fine screening, grit removal, primary clarification, activated sludge-contact stabilization, and final clarification.
Attendees will learn about how AWWTP is contributing to the City of Appleton's goal of achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. AWWTP has three biogas boilers being used to heat the entire complex. Recently, they completed a project to use excess biogas that would otherwise be flared to convert waste heat generated from the boilers to electricity.
