** The meeting time will be 1:30pm - 3:30pm. Lunch will not be provided and there will be no sit-down presentations. We will split into 2 x 15 people tour groups.
Attendance is limited and not flexible, please do not register unless you expect to attend.
Attendees will learn about Komatsu's energy initiatives, wind (epic fail), solar (true benefit), and water reclamation (true benefit). They will also tour the new LEED Gold certified global headquarters that opened in 2022 and features office and manufacturing space. Similarly, a history of working with the US-EPA, WI-DNR on one of the largest superfund sites in the US.
While not on the tour, attendees will network in the lobby, look at the history wall, check out the Komatsu store, and view a 6-minute immersive experience that illustrates Komatsu product initiatives. There is also a coffee bar if attendees wish to purchase coffee.

BOARD MEETING:
The WAEE board will be held offsite at We Energies Public Service Building at 11am. Anyone interested in learning more about our chapter or getting more involved is welcome to attend. The board is comprised of energy industry professionals who volunteer their time to promote education and awareness in the energy industry.
The Wisconsin Association of Energy Engineers is pleased to announce its Call for Presenters for our 13th Annual Wisconsin Energy Efficiency Expo, held at Monona Terrace in Madison, WI on October 22, 2026.
We are looking for energy professionals with technical presentations to engage and inspire attendees. The presentation may be based on knowledge, case studies, real-life experiences, technology & other appropriate aspects.

Sun Prairie Utilities
You’re invited to learn more about the future of sustainable municipal infrastructure at the Sun Prairie Utilities Municipal Garage. Sun Prairie Utilities (SPU) is a community-owned, locally controlled utility that provides electric and water services to the residents and businesses of Sun Prairie.
Attendees will learn how the Geothermal HVAC system is used to heat and cool the building; as well as how the 435 kW rooftop solar array works in tandem with the facility's All-Electric Design to generate over 70% of the building's power on-site.
In the office and warehouse areas, Smart Lighting with occupancy sensors, high-efficiency windows and detailed real-time monitoring work together to maintain comfort while minimizing energy waste. Finally, attendees will learn how their EV Infrastructure supports the transition to cleaner transportation with Level 2 charging stations available for public and fleet use.
