The Wisconsin Association of Energy Engineers (WAEE) invites you to join us at Dane County RNG Facility to learn about renewable natural gas!

Lunch and presentations will be held at the Alliant Energy Center: Lakes Rooms in the Exhibition Hall. We will travel to the landfill for the tour (3737 County Highway AB McFarland, WI 53558). 

The Dane County Department of Waste and Renewables constructed their renewable natural gas (RNG) processing facility in 2019. This facility uses cutting-edge technology to transform landfill biogas into renewable natural gas, which greatly reduces harmful methane emissions from the landfill. 

Attendees will learn how landfill gas is created, then captured and transformed into a renewable energy resource. You will also learn how Dane County opens the door for smaller regional biogas producers, such as dairy farmers, to expand the RNG production even further.

BOARD MEETING:

The WAEE board will meet at 10:30 at the Alliant Energy Center (Lakes Rooms in the Exhibition Hall). Anyone interested in learning more about our chapter or getting more involved is welcome to attend. The board is comprised of energy industry professionals who volunteer their time to promote education and awareness in the energy industry.
