UW Milwaukee is doing some amazing things for the energy community. Join WAEE for our February meeting to learn about the research into new possibilities in energy engineering. UWM is host to one of a handful of the Department of Energy's Industrial Assessment Centers. Wind power, electrical storage, electrical distribution and lighting systems are just a taste of the phenomenal research being done by UWM professors and their students.

In addition, we are excited to be announcing scholarship awards to this year's student recipients. This year, we are awarding a total of $7,050 to seven students from across the state. We will be announcing the winners, and presenting the awards to those who are able to join us at the meeting. In conjunction with the scholarship presentation, WAEE is offering a discussion of careers in Energy Engineering.

The WAEE board and committee members will meet at 11:00. Anyone interested in learning more about our chapter or getting more involved is welcome to join the board at 11:00.

The meeting is free to WAEE members and $10 for non-members. The registration fee will be collected at the meeting.
